Playing With Color: The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze

Posted by Heather Ponzio on

We are so excited to be carrying The Yarns of Rhichard Devrieze at Knit's Fabulous! This brand of hand-dyed yarns began as a pet project after Rhichard and his partner moved to a farm in rural Ontario, Canada. Rhichard is a self-proclaimed French Bulldog lover and color enthusiast and his yarns certainly show that.

Richard's grandfather was a master dyer in the Netherlands, and we can see he's doing a wonderful job in carrying on the family tradition.

Rhichard calls his popular method of producing speckle dyed skeins "stippling" which brings to mind the color mixing of the Impressionist artists like Monet and Renoir. Rhichard's yarns are certainly works of art.

We've already cast on a Sockhead Hat, a great free pattern that uses just one skein of sock yarn.
